This Software License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you and the developer and publisher of ilyStream (“ilyStream”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It applies to the ilyStream desktop app, including updates, documentation and any files we provide with it (“the Software”).
By installing or using the Software, you agree to this Agreement. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use it.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, to create, stream and record content — including content you earn money from.
2. Price
The Software is free. If we ever offer paid features, we’ll tell you the price and terms before you’re charged anything.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute the Software, or offer it as a hosted service;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where applicable law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or license notices;
- get around any technical limits or security measures in the Software;
- use the Software in a way that breaks the law, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the terms of a platform you connect.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted in this Agreement.
5. Your content
You own what you create with the Software — your streams, recordings, scenes, overlays and other content. We claim no rights to it.
6. Third-party services
Many features connect to services run by other companies, such as live platforms, voice and AI providers, music services and hardware makers. Your use of those services is governed by their terms. They may change or discontinue what the Software relies on, and some features may stop working as a result. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for third-party services.
7. Open-source components
The Software may include open-source components. Each is licensed under its own license, and those licenses govern your use of those components.
8. Updates
We may release updates that fix problems, add or change features, or remove features. Some features may require the latest version.
9. Preview releases
Releases labeled Preview or Beta are early versions. They may contain bugs, change without notice, or lose data. Keep backups of anything important.
10. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Software.
11. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement — to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with any particular platform, hardware or service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or interrupted or lost streams, arising from your use of or inability to use the Software. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
13. Termination
This Agreement lasts until it ends. It ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, stop using the Software and uninstall it. Sections 4, 5 and 11 to 14 continue to apply after it ends.
14. General
- This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, is the entire agreement between you and us about the Software.
- If part of this Agreement can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a part of this Agreement, that doesn’t waive our right to enforce it later.
- You’re responsible for complying with the export and sanctions laws that apply to you.
- We may update this Agreement. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Software after a change, you accept the updated Agreement.
