This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the ilyStream desktop app (“the app”), visit ilystream.app and its documentation (“the website”), or contact us. In this policy, “ilyStream”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the developer and publisher of ilyStream.
The short version
- The app runs on your PC. The chat, events, audience statistics and settings it works with are kept on your computer, not on servers run by us.
- Services you connect see what they need. When you connect a platform or service — such as Twitch, TikTok, Spotify or ElevenLabs — the app exchanges data with that service so the feature works. Each integration’s page on ilystream.app/integrations lists what it uses.
- You’re told when data leaves your PC. Some features send data to a network service you choose, such as text read aloud by ElevenLabs or chat prompts answered by a hosted AI model. The app says so where you turn those features on, and offers local options.
- This website doesn’t track you. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party scripts.
- We don’t sell personal information.
Information the app works with
From the platforms you connect
When you connect a live platform (TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Kick or Restream), the app receives what that platform provides while you’re live, including:
- chat messages;
- the usernames, display names, profile pictures and roles (for example subscriber, member or moderator) of people who chat or interact;
- stream events such as follows, subscriptions, gifts, likes, shares and raids, including their value where the platform reports it;
- viewer and follower counts.
The app uses this to show your chat and events, run alerts, widgets and automations, read messages aloud if you choose, and build your Audience Stats.
What you set up
Your scenes, sources, widgets, themes, rules and other settings.
Credentials
The sign-ins, API keys and device pairings you add so the app can reach services and hardware. API keys you add, such as an ElevenLabs key, are stored in Windows Credential Manager. Pairing with a Philips Hue Bridge gives your PC a credential for that bridge.
Where the app keeps information
The information above is stored by the app on your PC. Audience Stats — for example how many messages, likes or gifts a person has sent — are kept on your PC so you can review them in the app. You can clear them at any time with Reset all stats in Live → Audience Stats.
The app doesn’t send your chat, audience statistics, recordings, credentials or settings to us.
Services you choose to connect
Some features work by exchanging data with a third-party service. That service handles the data under its own terms and privacy policy, which are linked from Third-Party Services.

YouTube
If you connect YouTube, ilyStream uses YouTube API Services, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke ilyStream’s access to your Google account at any time from the Google security settings page.
TikTok
If you connect TikTok, the app receives data from TikTok so it can show your TikTok LIVE chat and events and include them in your stats:
- chat messages sent during your LIVE;
- the username, display name and profile picture of people who chat, like, send gifts, share or follow;
- LIVE events such as likes, gifts (including their value), shares and follows;
- your viewer and follower counts.
ilyStream uses this data only to provide the app’s features to you: showing your chat and events, running your alerts, widgets and automations, reading messages aloud if you turn that on, and building your Audience Stats. It’s stored by the app on your PC, including your TikTok sign-in if you sign in with TikTok, and it isn’t sent to us. We don’t sell it, use it for advertising or share it, except that a feature you turn on sends what it needs to the service you chose for it, such as ElevenLabs to read a message aloud or a hosted AI model to answer one (see the table above).
It stays on your PC until you delete it. Reset all stats in Live → Audience Stats clears your Audience Stats, and Data Requests explains how to remove everything else. To stop new data from arriving, disconnect TikTok in the app under Connect → Live Platforms → TikTok. If you signed in with TikTok, you can also remove ilyStream’s access in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions.
TikTok’s own handling of your information is described in the TikTok Privacy Policy, and your use of TikTok is governed by the TikTok Terms of Service.
Disconnecting a service
Disconnecting a service in the app, or revoking ilyStream’s access from the service’s own settings, stops new data from arriving. Because the data the app already received is on your PC, you remain in control of it — see Data Requests for how to delete it.
This website
ilystream.app doesn’t use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and doesn’t load scripts, fonts or other resources from third parties. The documentation search runs in your browser.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Messages to our ilystream.app addresses are forwarded to an inbox run by our email provider.
How we use information
We use the information we receive to answer your questions, provide support, investigate problems you report, and keep the website secure. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Information in the app stays on your PC until you delete it.
- Emails are kept for as long as we need them to resolve your request and keep a reasonable record of it.
Children
ilyStream isn’t directed at children under 13, and the platforms it connects to set their own minimum ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices and rights
- In the app, you can clear Audience Stats, remove API keys, disconnect services, forget paired devices, and uninstall the app.
- For information we hold — such as emails you’ve sent us — you can ask to access, correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We’ll honor requests as those laws require.

International processing
Cloudflare delivers the website from a global network, and email providers may process messages in other countries. Information in the app stays on your PC.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we’ll also say so in the changelog.
