Scenes and sources

Scenes

The Scenes panel on the left of Broadcast Studio lists your scenes. Each scene shows:

• its number and hotkey (for example 01 · Alt+Num 1),
• its name,
• how many sources it has.

Click a scene to switch to it, or press its hotkey. Use + at the top of the panel to add a scene. The buttons at the bottom add, duplicate and delete scenes.

Transitions

The bottom of the Scenes panel sets how scenes change:

• Cut switches instantly.
• Fade blends from one scene to the next. Use − and + to set the fade length (for example 300 ms).

Sources

The Sources panel on the right lists the sources in the current scene, grouped by canvas — Vertical and Horizontal in the Dual layout — with a count for each.

Each source row has:

• a visibility toggle (the eye) to show or hide it,
• a lock toggle so it can’t be moved by accident.

The buttons at the bottom of the panel add, duplicate, move up, move down and delete the selected source.

Kinds of sources

Sources include cameras, display capture, capture devices, and your widgets — every widget is its own browser source, so it can be added to any scene.
