Set up your first stream

The Dashboard’s Next moves card lists the order that matters when setting up the studio. This guide follows the same steps.

1. Connect your live platforms

Go to Connect → Live Platforms and connect the platforms you stream to: TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Kick or Restream.

Back on the Dashboard, the Platforms connected card and the Platform breakdown show each platform’s status — Connected or Connecting — and its viewers. See Connect your live platforms.

2. Build the broadcast

Open Live → Broadcast Studio.

1. Choose a layout in the top bar: Horizontal, Vertical, or Dual to work on both canvases side by side.
2. Add a scene with the + button in the Scenes panel.
3. Add sources to each canvas from the Sources panel: cameras, captures and your widgets.
4. Check your levels in the Mixer.

3. Tune the chat voice

Open Automate → Text-to-Speech to decide who may be read aloud and which voice speaks. Press Test voice to hear it. See Text-to-Speech.

4. Test the event chain

Open Automate → Event Lab and fire a realistic test event. Use it to check that your alerts, widgets, lighting and automations react the way you expect before a real viewer triggers them.

5. Go live

When everything looks right, press Go live in the top bar of Broadcast Studio. Keep the Dashboard open to watch your combined audience, chat velocity and routed events while you stream.

Tip

Press Record in Broadcast Studio to record the canvas you’ve chosen with Record this canvas.
